Wiele razy do nich podchodziłem, ale nigdy mnie do końca nie przekonali. Zdecydowanie bardziej lubię ich "konwencjonalne" nagrania niż te awangardowe.

Ja ze 2-3 lata temu próbowałem słuchać tej płyty, ale jakoś słabo się przyłożyłem do tego przedsięwzięcia. ;) Ostatnio spróbowałem jeszcze raz i powaliła mnie momentalnie, szczególnie "Long Piece No. 3" wżera się w mózg. Znakomita rzecz!

Zgadzam się. Żałuję jedynie, że po 1972 roku coraz bardziej odchodzili w stronę countryrocka.


Jeśli są pojedyncze piosenki countryrockowe to mi w sumie nie przeszkadzają. Zresztą dość dobrze znam tylko 4 pierwsze ich płyty.
Hajduku - czy coś po "Brothers and Sisters" jest jeszcze warte posłuchania?

Na pewno płyty z lat 90-tych i późniejsze, jeśli ktoś lubi southern rocka i postchicagowskiego bluesa. Choć ja w tej materii wolę dokonania Gov't Mule. Zastanawiałem się na czym polega mój problem z The Allman Brothers Band po 1973 roku... I chyba wiem. Z jednej strony są tu trochę winne moje "oczekiwania". We wczesnej fazie kariery Allmanów grupa zaproponowała (nie boję się tego napisać) WYSTRZAŁOWĄ i PEŁNĄ POLOTU, INWENCJI I BRAWURY mieszankę bluesa, jazzu i rocka. Na dodatek tak wspaniale podaną, że słuchacz zachwyca się przede wszystkim pomysłami muzycznymi a nie (niewątpliwą) wirtuozerią wykonania. Po śmierci Duana Allmana i Dickiego Bettsa zespół skręcił w stronę bardziej konwencjonalnego southern rocka, czasem z elementami country. A to po prostu nie do końca moja bajka. Choć bardzo lubię Creedens Clearwater Revival.

IQ "Dark Matter" - świetny album; nawet suita "Harvest of Souls" wydaje mi się nie przeszkadzać.  ;)
