Najlepsze utwory PH wg głosów forumowiczów - lista

Oto pełna lista utworów, na które głosowaliśmy. Lista jest płynna - tzn. po kolejnych ocenach będzie modyfikowana.
Mam nadzieję, że się nie pomyliłem; w razie czego proszę o poprawki...

Lista liczy 276 ocenianych utworów - wg najwyższej średniej (głosy od 1 do 10; oraz każdemu głosującemu przysługiwało 6 dodatkowych głosów od 11 do 16 dla najlepszych z najlepszych). Uwzględniono również 4 albumy - gdyż głosowano na nie jako na całość; są to "Incoherence", "Spur of the Moment", "The Appointed Hour" oraz "Usherzy".

Ułożyłem piosenki po 10 (chociaż nie zawsze się to dało jak widać); jak znajdę czas spróbuję ułożyć to przejrzyściej - chyba, że ktoś dysponuje czasem i możliwościami może to również zrobić.

Odpowiedz co do Child brzmi TAK! Na In a In A Foreign Town tylko "Auto"  i "Under Cover Names"  są równie złe. I nie nazwał bym "Fool's Mate" popową płytą  ale pewnie Pan Hajduk wie lepiej Każdy głosuje subiektywnie-A ja wyrażam swoje równie subiektywne rozczarowanie takim zdaniem i odczuciem innych

Michale, mój post wyraża protest przeciwko tego typu "emocjonalnym" ocenom wyników głosowania. Jak w każdym demokratycznym wyborze, jego wyniki mogą być bardzo różne od naszych opinii co do poszcególnych kompozycji. I myślę, ze powinnismy to po prostu uszanować. Stalo sie tak, że Twój "subiektywny" sąd był kolejnym, po chociazby opiniach kolegi Yer Blue, który wyrażał dezaprobatę co do głosów innych, i zachecił mnie do umieszczenia mojego wywodu.
Tenże wywyód nie dotyczy, jak uwazniej owy przeczytasz, Twoich ocen poszczególnych kompozycji. Te szanuję, mimo że się z nimi nie zgadzam. Dotyczy wolności głosowania zgodznie ze swoimi przekonaniami. Ergo: jeśli oceniasz tak jak dyktuje Tobie sumienie, powinieneś przyjąć również, że inni VDGG-fani postepują tak samo, a ich opinie mogą diametralnie różnić się od Twoich. Co może sprowadzić sie i do tego, że nie cenią płyt "In A Foreign Town" oraz "Skin". Może słusznie. Może nie. Niezależnie od Twojego zrzymania się na ten fakt. Oczywiście ową emocję masz prawo komunikować, ale czy nie lepiej byłoby uzasadnic dlaczego doceniasz te płyty?
Zauważ, że napisalem: "teoretycznie "popowej" płyty" (a więc wziąłem przyniotnik popowy w podwójny nawias), co oznacza, że podobnie jak ty nie uwazam że "Fools' Mate" jest płytą popową.
Ja przyjąłem kilka podstawowych zasad. Obydwa plebiscyty (VdGG i PH) sa dla mnie okazją by samemu, dla siebie, ocenić poszczególne kompozycje, bo nigdy tego nie robiłem. A niektóre z nich znam juz od prawie dwudziestu lat. Po drugie, daje mi to okazje skonfrontowania swoich ocen z ocenami innych. Po trzecie, oceny innych nie wpływaja na to jak ja postrzegam poszczególne utwory. Po czwarte, wyniki głosowania, które sledzę pobieznie, a nie analizuje dogłębnie, nie są w stanie wpłynąć na moje oceny.

Zauważyłem również pewne niebezpieczeństwo związane z ocenianiem, i przyznaję nie udało mi się owego uniknąć. By być w pełni obiektywnym należałoby analizować każdy utwór z osobna, a jest to niemożliwe, bo jednak słucham ich, i istnieją one dla mnie, w kontekscie całych albumów. Cóż... Chociazby "Rubicon". Schowany między "Red Shift" a "A Louse Is Not A Home" - traci. Jeszcze w tej aranżacji. Wersja dla BBC, mimo że bardziej ascetyczna, zyskuje poprzez wirtuozerską partię Jacksona.
Są też inne niebezpieczeństwa. Jak docenić w pelni "Willhelminę" skoro powtarza progresję akordową 'Slender Threads"? Czy to plagiat? A czy linia melodyczna "Nothing Comes" nie przypomina za bardzo "Curtains"? Tak, wiem, ze każdy kompozytor ma swoje ulubione zwroty melodyczne i sposoby komponowania. Coś w rodzaju muzycznego autografu. Dotyczy to i Bacha i Beethovena i Xenakisa... Ale gdzie jest granica między autocytatem a autoparodią?
Dlaczego ocenilem tak wysoko "Child"? Oto kilka argumentów.
1. Tekst dotyczący zagubienia dorosłej osoby w obliczu utraty milości jest pomysłem rozwiniętym później w "My Room". Mimo, że prostszy - to równie bezpośredni, szczery i przejmujący.
2. Kto wie czy nie lepiej zilustrowany muzyką. Plozja fletu po słowach "I'm like child, whose dreams are shattered", która po kilku nutach przechodzi w lagodna kantylenę dobitnie to ilustruje.
3. aranzacja jest delikatna o rozrzedzonej fakturze, co dobrze koresponduje z teksem.
4. Sposób gry Roberta Frippa świadomie odwołuje sie do kompocycji "Moonchild" KC, co mozna nazwać "postmodernistycznym" zabiegiem.
5. "Child" z powodzeniem mogłoby zastąpic "Rubikon" na "The Silent Cotner..." albo byc ozdobą "In camera".
